Thank you for visiting us online. If you are here because you are searching for a church home, you have found what many tell us is one of the warmest and most welcoming congregations.
As you walk through the door to the sanctuary on Sunday you will see both young and old engaged in worship. The music you will hear in worship also reflects the generations represented in our congregation. You will hear traditional hymns as well as contemporary music blended to reflect the different expressions of our love for God. As we grow to appreciate each other, we also grow to appreciate the diversity of ways that we can express ourselves in worship.
What guides us in all our activities and reflections is the scripture we acknowledge as our authority and that guides us in our discovery of Jesus. The centrality of our love and obedience of Jesus’ words and life provide the context for all that we do. Our goal here at First Presbyterian Church is to “know Christ and make him know.” In everything that we do this is our guiding principle. Whether we are responding to current issues that are changing our society or responding to the suffering around us we desire to bring our relationship with Christ into every context.
