Caregivers Group
CAREGIVERS CAN HAVE MORE FUN!
If you are a caregiver for a loved one who is in your home, in their home, or a facility (nursing home, hospital, residential care home), you know it can at times be stressful and frustrating, as well as gratifying.
Wendy Lustbader, social worker and well-known author of books and articles on taking care of aging family members, writes:
"It is helpful to note that “a rested caregiver can be a good
caregiver, and an exhausted caregiver is no good for anyone.”
So give yourself a treat: Attending a caregiver support group regularly can reduce tension and fatigue and give you an hour of revival, refreshment and nourishment for your spirit. Taking this short break can give you more patience and enthusiasm for returning to caregiving by spending a little time away.
The Caregivers Group meets:
EVERY 1st and 3rd THURSDAY
1:00 – 2:00 P.M.
in Westminster Hall
We have volunteers who will come and sit with your shut-in while you come to the group. Call the church office at 442-2583
