Building on over 125 Years of History

Adults

We are a church family of people at all different ages and stages. Everyone is welcome and we look forward to seeing you find a place where you belong. Come join us on your journey with Jesus together!

Centering Prayer

Centering Prayer is a method of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer, prayer in which we experience God's presence within us, closer than breathing, closer than thinking, closer than consciousness itself. This method of prayer is both a relationship with God and a discipline to foster that relationship. Find more information here

Christian Cruisers

The Christian Cruisers is a group of Adults, ranging from 60 years of age and above, who meet every third Saturday of the month. The goal of this group is to develop friendships and to provide opportunities to experience different kinds of entertainment experiences. For more information contact Donna Swennes, 561-4494

Saturday People

The Saturday People Program was designed for those who are retired and would be interested in a diverse array of fellowship and study opportunities, mainly during the day. Under this program we have established a monthly Movie and Lunch Program (first Monday of the month), a bible study (every Thursday at 10:00am) and various opportunities to take a fun trip to Palm Springs or Los Angeles. For more information contact Janice Tomkiel, 440-4484

TBN Group

The TBN Group is a group of Adults, ranging from 50 and above, who meet every fourth Friday for a movie, dinner or just a night of games. Each month we center our time together on friendship and food. Like Jesus who spent much time developing friendships with his disciples around the dinner table, we too find this a useful way to slow down and talk about the things that are important to us. After dinner we usually find something to do whether it is a movie or just sitting around playing games. For more information contact Michelle Blackman 670-7222

Veterans Breakfast

First Presbyterian Church has many veterans and active duty personnel. Because of the unique experience of veterans we have developed a breakfast on the first Tuesday of the month for the purpose of sharing stories and our common bond. We meet at the CoCo’s Restaurant on Fletcher Parkway at 8:30 in the morning. We usually come together to share experiences of just relax. On certain occasions we will invite a special speaker to address our common experience.

Girlfriends

Women today are looking for fresh and fun ways to connect with other women and with Jesus. We have endless opportunities for women to get together, from elegant teas and dinners, to small groups for Bible studies, sharing a craft together or seeing a movie. Click here for more information
