How to Serve

1 Peter 4:10-11

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Listed below are current areas that provide opportunities to serve First Presbyterian Church of El Cajon and local Outreach.

Choir/Bell and Chime Choir New singers and/or ringers are always welcome in our music program. Contact the church office to connect with the director of either the Choir or Bell and Chime Choir

Greeters Be a smiling face and shake hands with our guest on Sunday mornings. Contact Ginny Wisley

Kidz Klub Midweek program is always looking for help. Contact Judy Farrar or Wanda Feldner

Kids Quest Volunteer to help with Sunday School, you will be provided with the materials and help you need to be successful. Contact Cindy Graham

Knit for Kids This group meets once a month to knit sweaters to mail to Knit for Kids ministry through World Vision. Contact the church office for more details

VBS (Vacation Bible School) Help with painting, set up, work the kitchen, take photo's etc. This is a huge event and we would love all the help we can get. Contact Becky Hurt

We continue to collect items that you have around the house and probably don't use. Please save the following and bring them to the church office:

Box Tops for Education
Pop-tabs from canned beverages
"My Coke Rewards" codes from Coke products
Ministry Builder stickers from Family Christian bookstores. A full card of stickers is $5.00 in resources for our ministries!
Trash to Cash-you can support our preschool by bringing your empty printer cartridges to the preschool or placing them in a mailbox at the church office. This a a great way to support the school and to help the environment as well.
