CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Sunday Mornings
We welcome all families and feel honored to care for your kids. On Sunday morning the Infant /Toddler room opens at 9:15. The room is on the north side of the narthex near the women’s restroom. Children can be picked up there when the worship service is over.
We have Sunday School for ages 4 through 5th grade. They leave church during the Passing of the Peace and meet their parents/guardians on the patio.
We have incredible retired teachers and active educators at our church who help contribute to the safety, care, and creativity of our children’s program. We seek to help our youngest participants learn how God loves them unconditionally through Old and New Testament bible stories, games, arts, crafts and special activities. We understand the importance of play, curiosity, and laughter as part of a child’s spiritual formation.
Occasionally the children take part in our worship service. Invite your kids, grandkids, neighbor kids to share the joys of learning and growing together at First Pres!
Kidz Klub
We offer a free mid-week program for 4-year-olds through 5th graders. We meet every Thursday during the school year except for holidays and welcome all! We love seeing neighborhood families and church families each Thursday.
Our Kidz Klub program offers games, crafts, Bible story time, musical enrichment, and dinner! Children are divided into three groups based on age: Preschool through Kindergarten, first/second grades and third through fifth grade. Our older children learn to ring handchimes and to read music. Children are also invited to sing during our worship service periodically. They participate in 2 special musicals during the year, as well as a bell/chime concert.
