Meet Pastor Kim
The Rev. Kim Dawsey-Richardson has spent her life learning to love and lead in the way of Jesus. Fueled by relationships, she delights in bearing witness to people’s stories and growth, attentive to the vast interconnections and unlikely friendships God forms between humans. Born and raised in La Mesa, Kim double-majored at UC Davis in English and International Relations. Service opportunities in West and East Africa, and Southeast Asia, further formed and expanded Kim’s understanding of God and neighbor. She worked in refugee resettlement before finishing her M.Div. at Bethel Seminary and beginning full-time ministry. She spent nearly 14 years on staff at Fletcher Hills Presbyterian Church in various capacities; the last 6 1/2 years as Associate Pastor.
Do you remember how your record player read the dips in the grooves of the vinyl record and translated the information into an audio signal (music!) for you? Analog is sharing information in a continuous signal; the opposite of digital. This Advent, simplify, pay attention, and experience what is right in front of you as we gather for worship. We will engage Scriptures from the Prophet Isaiah and watch God's grand reversal and upside down Kingdom unfold as the Divine becomes Incarnate again to us, and in us, this Advent.
