“Liberating Community”: A Journey of Faith and Solidarity

Have you ever wondered why some communities struggle to break the cycle of poverty despite our best efforts? Or how our faith calls us to respond to the challenges facing families right in our own backyard?

Our new series, “The Liberating Community,” has officially started—and it’s not too late to join the discussion. Together, we are delving into the rich history of Latin American Theology, a perspective that has shaped a continent and provides deep insights for our mission today.

In the upcoming sessions, we will examine:

· The Legacy of Medellín & Puebla: How a “preferential option for the poor” transformed the Church. ·

- Development vs. Liberation: Moving beyond simple charity toward genuine empowerment and dignity. ·

- Faith in Action: Connecting these powerful ideas to the life of our congregation.

Whether you've been a member of FPCEC for fifty years or just fifty days, your voice and presence are valued. Join us as we explore what it means to walk in solidarity and help build a “church born of the people.”

Day & Time: Tuesdays, January 20-March 24, 2026, from 4:00pm to 5:30pm
Location: Westminster Hall
