Our church sponsors several missions. Some are international, some are national and some are local. The sponsorship may be in donations of money or of time. Some are missionaries and some are organizations. Below is a list of all the missions we are involved in.


Kelly Kosky

Kelly has been evangelizing the native Xhosa people in the Republic of Transkei in South Africa over the last three decades. Besides forming hundreds of churches in the rural villages, he also established a Bible college and orphanage as well as several other ministries to serve the needs of the Xhosa people.

Dave and family are currently serving in Papua, Indonesia. Dave is a pilot for Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF)

Steve Robinson

Steve is currently working as a trainer for MAF and also conducts an Hispanic ministry at MAF headquarters in Nampa, Idaho.

Local/regional ministries


The EXCEL Youth Resource Center is a program of the Good Shepherd Ministry Center which is located at 772 S. Johnson Ave. in El Cajon.

EXCEL seeks to empower vulnerable and at risk youth  (Juniors and Seniors) in the East County by providing support that may lead to stable employment and housing upon high school graduation.   Youth are referred to the program by school and social service counselors.


UPLIFT provides youth tutoring, elderly services, ex-offender and homeless assistance in the downtown San Diego area.

PUM has been renamed "New Day Urban ministries"

It  restores lives by equipping those in need to move forward with hope by providing essential services to the homeless, urban poor, veterans and those recently released from prison in a safe,home-like setting where people are treated with dignity, respect and compassion.

Baja Presbyterian Ministries

Baja Presbyterian Ministries plants and nurtures Presbyterian churches in Baja California.

St. Alban's refugee mission

St.Alban's has a food distribution every other Tuesday to about one hundred refugee families. Currently these are mainly middle-eastern refugees with some Asian.Our church provides money to purchase toiletries and other personal items to supplement the food distribution.


San Diego Military Outreach Ministries provides various forms of assistance to struggling military families (E-5 and below) in the greater San Diego area.

Rancho Sordo Mudo

Rancho Sordo Mudo is a faith-based boarding school for deaf children in Baja California.

homeless ministry

Becky O'Connor and her team provide a meal to the homeless at Wells Park in El Cajon on the first Saturday of the month. She also assists St. Alban's monthly homeless feeding. Our church has been doing a special offering on Super Bowl Sunday to provide supplies to the homeless.

nurses fund

We conduct a special offering in September to benefit the Cajon Valley School District nurses. It provides money for gift cards for clothing and school supplies for needy students the school nurses come in contact with.

Presbyterian offerings

We participate in PCUSA offerings that support various ministries: One Great Hour of Sharing and Christmas Joy Offerings

Mission craft fair

This is an annual event featuring art, crafts, baked goods, etc produced by our members. The proceeds are generally distributed to local mission organizations. It provides a way for our members to support local missions by their talents and time or by being shoppers at the event.

Las colinas jail ministry

There is a team of individuals (Bob Collins, Cathy Bailes, Susan Jarboe and John Fischer) that conducts a worship service at Las Colinas Women's Detention Facility in Santee four times a year (every 5th Sunday).
